Okay, once again I apologize for taking forever to update our blog(: We sure have a lot to update though! First we moved to Provo, this has been a great thing for us. We love it here! We have also started such an exciting journey. We have decided that we are going to do foster care, hopefully adopting one or two children(: We finish our classes on Monday and are so happy. It will be the end of may before we are waiting for a placement. We have decided that children under the age of three would be best, and we will be licenced for two kids. That way we will be able to except a sibling pair! We will keep you updated for sure, like I said we can't wait! We have the room all ready to go! We have really felt Heavenly Father leading us down this path, we can't wait to start our family(: Yesterday we celebrated our one year anniversary and wow what a year it has been! We have worked, played, laughed, cried, made the best of, and relied on the Lord in every situation. I am such a better person because I married Matt, we have grown so much! I know there is so much in store for year two of our eternal journey and I can't wait!!!!!! Well that's the latest from the Moyers, Love you all!!

So, this week has been a really good week. I have discovered coupons and price matching at walmart making my already low grocery bill even lower(: and We have been sticking to our goal of going to the Temple once a week. I love how the temple brings the spirit into every aspect of life! This week I started weight watchers, I have lost three pounds(: It is nice because I am able to cook for and eat with Matt and still loose weight. It's really hard to be on any other kind of diet because my poor hubby lives off of mac and cheese(: He won't touch my diet food, lol. Not surprising if you know Matt at all! I have also undertaken organizing the house from top to bottom, it feels good! Thats all from the Moyers (: Hope everyone is doing well!

I feel 2009 has been such a great year! I am so grateful for the testimony I have gained, the Lord truly knows our pain, joy, silliness, and struggles and is there through it all. I have no doubt that he loves each of us. This coming year I hope to grow in my testimony even more, there is always something to be learned! I think one of the lessons I need to learn most is trust in the lords timing(: I push and push and stress and stress over things that I can't do anything about right at this moment. When what I should be doing is trusting that the Lord will provide a way...in his own time, not mine; and relax and enjoy life right now. I tend to struggle doing that(: I don't know how to find the balance between trusting in the Lord and doing all I can. Anyway this year I am going to work on that. I also want to plant a garden this spring with my mom, go on one really good vacation, camp lots this summer, eat healthy foods and exercise, and read The Book of Mormon over again. I hope everyone has a great 2010, I hope you feel the Lords love for you and the love Matt and I have for you! Happy New Year!

So as you know we are saving for a baby. We have asked everyone we know to save soda cans to help. We also have a big water jug for change we get. Every little bit helps (: Anyway, Matt asked the guys he is working with to save cans for him. Today when he got to work they had a big garbage can designated for soda cans for us! The middle of the week is always so hard for me. I have been thinking it's a day later than it really is all week. So this week has been dragging on and on....and it's only Wednesday! It's most likely because I am 5 years old and still get excited for Christmas, super duper excited. So silly I know, sure makes for a long week!

I love this time of year! It is such a great opportunity to remember our Savior and all he has done for us. I am so grateful that he came to earth to teach us and be the perfect example. I know I am a very imperfect person and have so much I need to work on. I am so glad he gave his life so I have the chance to improve. Yes! We have the internet!!! We are so excited to finally be able to post and stay in touch with everyone better. This past month has been so great for Matt and I. We are loving our new situation. We are both so grateful for everything we have been given. This has truley been a life changing 6 months for both of us. When I think about how gratful I am this thanksgiving season, words can't begin to express my emotion(: We have so much to be grateful for. The Lord has really blessed us. Matt is so happy at his job, he is driving all over utah delivering construction supplies...it's perfect for him to be out and about. And I am running the storage unit in the afternoon and I also have a part time job as a mothers helper in provo. Life is good(: I'll post soon

Okay, in the past week and a half...we both got better jobs, I had a birthday, and we enjoyed conference a lot. It's been so crazy and fun and this coming week is not going to any better! We are so excited that we got the apartment I talked about in my last post, so we will be moving this week. (saturday morning we are hoping!)We have been so lucky this past month to have the love and hospitality of my parents. Thanks mom and Richard for putting up with us for the past month!!!! We love you and are very grateful. Overall we have seen so many blessings from the Lord, I know I have a much stronger testimony that the Lord is in charge and knows best. Thanks for all the love and support we have been given!!

Today Matt and I are doing a lot of praying. We have an opportunity to manage a storage unit (and recieve a two bedroom apartment in return) it would be a great situation for us right now. We had an interview this morning and will have another one next week. Wish us luck! We are hoping to find Matt a job with benifits and good pay, and then I would be able to manage the storage unit. It would be so great to get out of the job I'm in(: anyway, Thank you so much for your continued love and support. We are so grateful!!!!!!!!!! Love you all so much!

Today I was thinking about how much I love my nieces and nephews. So Matt and I have found a really great opportunity! We found a two day class that certifies you as a phlebotomist, with our struggle to find Matt a good job (and me getting hurt everyday at work) this feels like an answer to our prayers. We are both hoping to be able to take the class and find good solid jobs close to home. The good thing about doing something in the medical field is there will alway be a demand. We will keep you updated!!!! Hopefully it works out!!!!!!!!

We had so much fun with family this weekend! We got to go to brunch and for a drive to midway with Matts parents, Mason, and Katie (we missed Tyler, Shan, and Deek!!!). And then went to watch the BYU game with my family. We also had the opportunity to be at Charlies baby blessing, it was so beautiful! It was so great to be with everyone!! We love you all and are so grateful for all the love and support we are getting. We truly don't know what we did to deserve such great family. We also wanted to let you know Matt has found a job!!! He will be window washing and blind cleaning, we are so grateful for this opportunity!!!!!!!

It's the first day of September today, and that makes me so excited for fall to come! I love the nip in the air and the scarves and jackets. It also means that the holidays are getting closer. We all know how much I love the holidays(: Lindsay, if I could I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils to celebrate(: Fall always reminds me of you because you love it so much! I'm awaiting the first frost with much anticipation, it doesn't look like it's going to happen this week (things can change quickly though!) As far as an update on the job hunt, Matt is still waiting to hear back from the interviews last week(: in the mean time he was able to go back to the warehouse he was working at last week. That will be so helpful! We hope to hear back this week, keep the prayers coming!!

Okay, so here is a little more detail on the proposal.....Matt is going home for Christmas so we decided to have our own little Christmas this past weekend. It was so fun, we invited Kim, Kirk, Lindsay, and Kaylynn to join us. On "Christmas eve" Matt had to work so he came late. When he got to the apartment he asked if he and I could go for a walk. I was really confused because we were kinda hosting a party. But I played along....and I'm glad I did because he asked me to be
his wife! Matt totally surprised me, it was great! I knew it was coming but I thought he would do it on "Christmas day" anyway thats the story (: Kim has the pictures taken of the two of us that night, I will post them when I get them....sorry!

Today I would like to share a few things I am thankful for.....

1. I am thankful for the gospel of Jesus Christ, I love my savior and can't even begin to express my thanks to him for his matchless gift.

2. I am grateful for Matt and the unconditional love and support he gives me.

3. I am grateful for my family, each one of them have taught me different things in different ways. I know that Heavenly Father placed me in my family for a reason. I am so glad I have had and will continue to have opportunities to learn and grow with them.

4. The Book of Mormon and all the lessons it teaches.

Wow! Life has been so crazy lately! I basically have been studying for mid-terms like a mad woman. I have done really well with it all though. I have felt very prepared for every test and assignment....I hope that I did as well as I think I did!!!! Anyway, it feels good to have it almost behind me (: I have my spanish test tomorrow :)

I got a job after a lot of looking all over Provo and Orem, I went to Maceys and I filled out an application and a week later I went back got an interview. I am starting on monday morning so thank you everyone again for your thoughts and prayers!

Today has been a great day, school is going so well! I'm really excited about what I'm accomplishing! I can't wait to be done with my generals, it's going to feel so good. The weather is getting colder, that is a beautiful thing. I am loving that I can wear my scarf...scarves..I think I have two....anyway (: Life is good! Just thought I'd share!

My Birthday

Okay so this past Friday was my birthday, it was so fun! One of the best I've had! I started off the day with my hermanas, they surprised me and took me to breakfast (: then after school got out Matt took me to Trio, my favorite restaurant! Kim and Kirk came with us and it was so fun to spend time with them! It made my birthday so great. We finished off the evening with my mission reunion, I can't even tell you how fun that was!!!! Sunday mornings are always fun. Today is going to be a very busy day. This morning we are getting chicken enchiladas ready for dinner tonight. Matt and a couple of his buddies are coming to dinner. So we have to make sure everything is perfect! Then at 11 I'm going with my presidency and knocking all the girls doors in the ward. Most of them are less active or going to other wards, it will be good to get to know them! I also am assuming I have corrilation with the Bishop at some point....at least I hope so! When we get back from church and everything Matt will be here with his friends. Anyway it's going to be a very busy, very fun day! I hope the enchiladas turn out!!!!!!!!

Wow, sorry it has been so long! I was doing so good at this bloging thing for the first little while! Lets see, okay so the boy I was talking about earlier in my chocolate strawberries post (: His name is Matt Moyer and I am totally smitten! Chocolate Strawberries

First of all, sorry I haven't posted in a couple of days...I'm usually better about posting! So I said I wanted flowers, but I got something just as good...I went on a date, an amazing date, with a sweet boy! He put together a picnic, the meal was great, as was the Wedgwood dish set we ate off of...and the playlist he put together to listen to during dinner. Then to top it off, he hand dipped chocolate strawberries! I have to say, that is just as good as flowers, don't you think?!

So today I was thinking about how much I would love to have fresh flowers in the apartment. But thats only fun when they come from a cute boy...I'll have to work on that (: Today has been a good day, less stressful. I have picked two counselors and I did really well on my math test. Things are looking up, I think that we might go swimming tonight...or play board games....I don't know....anyway....that's my thought for the day, I want pretty flowers for my kitchen table.

Okay so the reason why I'm overwhelmed is because I have been called as Relief Society President....what an unexpected surprise. I really don't know how to feel about it all (: I hope that I am able to serve in the way the Lord would have me serve. It's a little scary, but I know the Lord will bless me.
